We’re back at it again on a Friday, friend!
Let’s jump right in.
thoughts at large.
Have you ever considered how important being in relationships with other people has been in your life? I’m not just talking about romantic relationships, but also, friendships, professional relationships, and familial relationships. I believe that we were designed to be communal, to work together to accomplish goals, and to achieve fulfillment.
Think about it. Issues arise when people act hyperindependently. In fact - the Surgeon General says that loneliness is an epidemic. Since COVID, finding yourself in a silo has been much easier, but easy doesn’t always mean better. Those feelings of loneliness and isolation can cause significant mental and physical health issues if left unaddressed.
It’s important for us to invest time in building relationships of all kinds. And while it does require effort, I do think it’s worth the investment to pour into the people in your life, whatever that may look like for you. This weekend, maybe take a few minutes to assess your relationships - where can you be a better friend, employee, partner, or family member? Some things are worth repairing, some are not. But everything is worth an assessment.
Think about it, friend!

What do you think about this list?
The poster said that this ranking was based on singing ability, and I will jump in and say, this list is automatically disqualified because it doesn’t include Brandy or Jazmine Sullivan. It’s null & void. Who is the best R&B girlie to you?
Renee Rapp is the guest on this week’s episode of the Terrell Show and let me tell you, miss ma’am can sing! Check it out here:
The musical highlight of my week has been the video for Victoria Monet’s “On My Mama”… if we still had 106 & Park this would immediately be number 1! Watch it below - featuring choreography by Sean Bankhead and appearances from Chalie Boy, Mama Monèt and Hazel!
Don’t forget - The Update Weekly playlist has been updated! There’s new music from Ciara, Quavo, Xavier Omär and more. Grab it here on Apple Music or Spotify.
Have a great weekend friend!
