No matter what you think, COVID is still a very real thing. In fact, while cases in the US are declining, cases in India are skyrocketing, multiplying by the hundreds of thousands on a daily basis. Since people in the US are skipping out on their doses, I’m hoping that there might be a possibility for some of our surplus doses to be distributed where there’s a need. But, that would be too much like right, huh?
Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda have filed for divorce after 27 years. Ordinarily - a divorce wouldn’t be a headline but when a couple is responsible for funding entire organizations, and in some cases, entire countries, it makes it a headline. One of my questions on the podcast this week was: Would you get a divorce after spending nearly 30 years with someone, having 3 children, and building a multi-billion dollar philanthropic empire? Or would you stick it out? Reply to this email and let me know.
Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced this week that she would not be seeking re-election at the end of her first term. I must admit that I was shocked. She is a rising star in the political world and was even on a shortlist to be President Biden’s running mate. No word yet on what she’ll be doing next - but I’ll definitely miss the ATLiens say bragging that they have a mayor named Keisha.
you should know.
Sean Combs has changed his name again.
Is it weird to you that he posted his whole license on social media, or is that just me? Anyway. He officially changed his middle name from John to Love. He has been Sean Combs, Sean John, Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Brother Love, and now Sean Love Combs. Did I miss any?
To close out this week I have another question: when do we let people move away from the mistakes of their past? Is there a time limit?
Jay-Z sparked this question, albeit from a 2010 interview with The Wall Street Journal that resurfaced.
So when do we let artists, or anyone really, grow past the mistakes that they’ve made in the past? Tap the button below and leave me a message.
