New week, new opportunities for the Trump Administration to try to clean up messes. This week on the reality show, there’s been an arrest warrant issued for the President, and new information has come out proving that he was briefed on Russia paying bounties for the killings of US soldiers.

Mr. Trump has also said that Black Lives Matter street paintings are a symbol of hate. This tweet comes just a few days after he retweeted a video with a man saying White Power and another video in which a white couple aimed guns at Black protesters passing their home.
COVID cases are still rapidly rising in the United States and the European Union has banned American tourists from visiting, indefinitely. This ban will be reviewed every two weeks.
In Texas, bar owners are suing Governor Greg Abbott after he mandated their closure amid the rapid rise in virus cases. Meanwhile, masks have been made a political issue, and Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick has decided that he will no longer take advice from Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease expert.
The former Atlanta police officer who killed Rayshard Brooks was released on a $500,000 bond.
The men responsible for the death of Breonna Taylor have not yet been arrested. It’s been more than 100 days since she was killed while sleeping in her home. This week, a photographer was killed at a rally for Breonna when a man fired indiscriminately into a crowd.
BET managed to pull off a virtual version of its popular annual awards show, and had the best ratings the show has seen since 2017.
Former NFL MVP Cam Newton was offered a job with the New England Patriots. Richard Sherman says he should be getting paid more.
Ava DuVernay has created a scripted series around Colin Kaepernick’s teen years called “Colin in Black & White.” The show will be released via Netflix.

Mark Zuckerberg is set to meet with Civil Rights activists & organizers to discuss Facebook’s stance on hate speech and misinformation. This comes after several large companies have begun to withdraw their ad dollars from both Facebook & Instagram.

Essence Magazine’s owner Richelieu Dennis has been replaced as CEO following scathing accusations from a group of anonymous former employees. This group, “Black Female Anonymous”, has released a list of demands after calling out practices that have been detrimental to the magazine’s mostly Black woman staff.
